Artist's Comments

Been getting a bit bored with all the drawing..... Since realism is so difficult to do, I decided to play around with photo-manipulation. These are stock photos from various places, and hopefully there are no copywrite infringements....but if they're are, the original photographers can rest assured that I'll make no money off this picture. Ever.

Anyways, it's a gryphon, loosely based off the illustrations of the Gryphon from Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. I'm going to try the Mock Turtle next :aww:

Edit::: I took into consideration the very helpful comments I've been getting....and revised the picture  Blended the feathers under his head to match the feathers from his wings, and I tried to make the talons look better. ...I changed their color, gave them a bit of texture, and in the end I just added more grass to cover them up........lolol.

Wow. It looks amazing.
I never quite had the patience to actually do any kind of photomanip, but I've always admired them. You made it all fit together really nicely, especially the front legs. I would imagine that would be extremely hard to do.
And I have no comment writing ski11z whatsoever.

Wow, beautiful! For a moment I thought it was a real gryphon, I almost got my head pressed against the screen in disbelief. XD This looks very real, the gryphon, the background, everything. Very neat, I really like this. Good job, this really looks like its real. I think you accomplised that (making it look real).

It looks pretty good. I don't know what happened under the gryphons neck though, looks like you might have played with the levels too much or something. His feet are the only this that look really odd, they don't seem to match the picture entirely, but everything else has been blended fairly well together.

This is so cool
but you should work more on the blending of the head
maybe change backround :)
looks cool

Do you find me sadistic?
I'd like to believe that you're aware enough even now to know there's nothing sadistic in my actions,
No Kiddo, this moment, this is me at my most... masochistic...

This is a very sexy and creative manipulation. How you taken two animals and creative one awesome creature. Great blend and wonderully done as if it the creature was real. One problem is the bird, the color is too bright. a little sharp that made it stand out more and give it that 3D feel to it. While the dog? is there flat. The balance sems a little off. Other than that, Great job and keep up the great work!
